Tripadvisor las vegas the westgate resort casino

There is a resort fee for internet/pool use that amounted to an extra $40 a day (a rude surprise at check-in, as my room rent had already been paid for this work trip, but everyone does it, I guess). There was a fridge, but no microwave or coffee maker. The room, a business suite, was clean and spacious. Avoid some though, as they're trying to pitch time share presentations.

Lots of cool shops and restaurants on the ground floors. The Westgate is in good shape though it's 'historic' by Vegas standards- It has an interesting history, and was where Elvis played a weeklong concert series in 1969, when the place was known as The International.

A monorail stops at the hotel and will take you to the Strip, so the hotel is convenient to lots of Vegas highlights.

The Westgate is adjacent to the Las Vegas Conference Center, and though it was a little farther walk down to the street to the new West Hall, it was an easy and convenient commute on foot.
